About this season
Runaway Bay was a children's adventure television series, which ran from 1992 to 1993. The series followed a group of friends having adventures while living on the island of Martinique in the Caribbean. The show was principally produced by Lifetime Productions International Ltd with Ellipse Productions for the television networks Antenne 2, CBS Television, and Yorkshire Television. In the UK, the show was screened on ITV. The character of Shuku was one of Naomie Harris's first television roles.

Tom competes in the island triathlon and is up against a seemingly unbeatable opponent. Satch and Mr. Snotts arrange a sweepstake on the outcome of the race.

A boat mysteriously goes missing in Runaway Bay leaving Chan floating in a dinghy with no recollection of what happened.

A prisoner escapes from jail and holes up in a remote cabin with Jojo and Lola determined to prove his innocence.

Things start to go wrong at the Runaway Bay hotel which happens to coincide with a visit from a tourism journalist.

An art expert searching for a lost painting arrives on the island and his only lead to its history refuses to speak to him.

A hotel employee is blackmailed into assisting with a robbery. Zoe is in trouble after witnessing the crime.

A property developer is planning to start construction at the expense of the beach but is prevented from doing so all the time turtles are using the beach to lay their eggs.

A former bio-chemist turned music teacher is kidnapped and held for ransom. However the kidnappers are not after money, but his formula for accelerating plant growth.

Jahman is fishing at sea when he is narrowly missed by a cannonball. Suspecting that it had been fired from a nearby island fort Jojo and Ziggy decide to investigate.

Alex believes that she had witnessed the murder of an old lady but when Inspector Grant and Sgt Frazer search the area they are unable to find a body.

Tracks sent into the radio station by local bands are turning up in the US charts. Ziggy is suspected of selling the tracks to the foreign stations for profit.
