After leaving Arsenal, Bendtner played for clubs including VfL Wolfsburg, Nottingham Forest, Rosenborg, and FC Copenhagen. At international level, he represented the Denmark national team, earning over 80 caps and participating in major tournaments. He is now retired from professional football.
