Dave Brown is chief meteorologist emeritus for WMC Action News 5.
Brown joined WMC Action News 5 as chief meteorologist in May 1977. Prior to coming to WMC, he was with WHBQ-Radio & TV, Memphis for 13 years. His career began at hometown radio stations while still in high school in Trenton, Tennessee.
On June 30, 2012, Dave's celebrated a broadcast career of fifty years.
Dave is a certified broadcast meteorologist by the American Meteorological Society and proudly holds the Seal of Approval of the National Weather Association.
For 35 years, Dave was host of the immensely popular Wrestling program on WHBQ-TV and WMC-TV, 25 of those years with his legendary partner, Lance Russell.
