During the crucial debate between candidates Silvio Berlusconi and Achille Occhetto, Leonardo Notte struggles to defend his position in the party, while political opponents and his own conscience try to bring him down.

Veronica is now a Member of Parliament, but her credibility is challenged by her co-workers. She finds support in her female colleagues when she decides to contribute to an important cause.
