Episode synopsis
In order to compensate to KWAI's and TING's families, LOK gave part of his business to the two families. KWAI's son HOK YAU was still not happy with the arrangement and went for LOK's revenge. TIN manipulated YAU to act on BILL's banquet. KWAN stopped him and time and LOK escaped safely. YAU became insane and killed himself because he failed in his many attempts to kill LOK. TIN took the chance to blame on LOK, making the two families to hate LOK more. In order to get away from work, KWAN and MAY went to the outlying islands for a secret vacation. They met CHAN CHUEN who started a revolution. LOK took action immediately to pacify the turbulence. He rebuked KWAN's irresponsible act. KWAN disagreed with LOK's behavior and determined to develop his own business. On the other hand, YAT TIN wanted to draw near to KWAN and lied that he was already on his side.
About The Battle Among the Clans
The story begins with the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong coming to an end in 1945 and the remaining Japanese dying or leaving the territory. The British colonial government have yet to fully resume its duties. Citizens themselves are flushing out the remaining traitors one by one. Soon, multiple societies of different legions were formed within the HK underground. Each one tries to control the city in a time of very weak and corrupt governance.
