Episode synopsis
SHI MAY was disheartened because KWAN didn't leave the clan business completely, she determined to leave him. KWAN was distressed and all the days got drunk. In order to upgrade his position in the society, he disclosed to KWAN CHI that he had slept with SIN MEI. CHI was angry and agreed to their marriage. With the help from SZE HO, JOE's business was getting better which made him become snobbish. KUEN was dissatisfied with his behavior. He brought JOE'S mother and TAY to Macau to disclose his relationship with SZE HO. JOE's mother raged and told JOE to swear that he would look after TAY. JOE dared not to say a word. WAN CHI was very sad, as she believed that KWAN was dead. After SHI MAY told her that KWAN was still alive, she hurried to Macau and revealed her love to him. KWAN was drunken and recognized wrongly WAN CHI as SHI MAY, they slept together.
About The Battle Among the Clans
The story begins with the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong coming to an end in 1945 and the remaining Japanese dying or leaving the territory. The British colonial government have yet to fully resume its duties. Citizens themselves are flushing out the remaining traitors one by one. Soon, multiple societies of different legions were formed within the HK underground. Each one tries to control the city in a time of very weak and corrupt governance.
