YUNG CHING is a diligent and responsible king. During his reign, he is busy settling inner state affairs and the armed rebellions of the MIAO, QIANG on the border. Besides, he is worrying about the right person to be his successor. BO CHUN HUANG, the fourth son of YUNG CHING, is an intelligent and wise young man. He finds court life disgusting and he is idling about state affairs. Though YUNG CHING feels upset at BO's poor attitude, he still regards him as the first priority to be the successor of his throne. The anti-Ching revolutionaries go into the palace to assassinate YUNG CHING. BO and HOR CHUN HUANG are taken hostage.
