Episode synopsis
The post-mortem examiner confirms that the skeletal remains appear to match TAI-KUNG. Although BAI-YUET counter-argues there are still a few questionable points in the case, SUM-YAN finds her guilty of murder and sentences her to death, and the date of her execution will be in the autumn. By dressing well, TAI-KUNG checks into the Yat Lo Inn under a different name, SUEN WAN-HOK. When TAI-KUNG goes to bathe in the bath house, TSUI NGAU and CHUN CHU take the advantage to sneak into TAI-KUNG's room. Having noticed MR. SUEN, KAI CHUN endeavors to ascertain whether MR. SUEN is BAI-YUET's missing husband. TAI-KUNG shows the badge given by KAU CHIN SHUI, telling SUM-YAN to work for him in private. KAI CHUN learns that CHIN SHEUNG recognizes TAI-KUNG, so he goes to discuss with CHIN SHEUNG about the way to rescue BAI-YUET. However, through their analysis, KAI CHUN is convinced that TAI-KUNG has no intention to save his wife at all……
