1. Episode 1

Twenty-one corpses are found in the water of Tai Wu. All of them are naked and their faces have been spoiled. They are all officials of the yamen. They have been killed by LUNG and YIK who impersonate them and move into the yamen. They use the tax to assist the poor and they plan to avenge their brother's death by killing PAO. PAO arrives and meet LUNG, who claims that he is the local judge, to discuss the case. LUNG invites PAO to stay, hoping to kill him with bombs. However PAO refuses and moves into CHART's house. CHART's original name is YEUNG. Fifteen years ago, the local judge lusted for his wife's beauty and raped her. She killed herself. CHART reported the case to the court but the corrupted officials refused to handle his case. Soldiers were sent to arrest him. CHART and his daughter were released by his loyal servant CHUNG. CHART jumped down a cliff and was saved by PAO. His daughter was saved by LUNG who named her YIK.… ...

LUNG masks himself and tricks CHIU. CHIU is fooled and leaves CHART's house. LUNG keeps PAO as hostage. LUNG tells PAO his intention tb kill PAO for his brother. CHIU follows YIK and tries to catch her but in vain. He just grasps her bracelet. CHIU returns and drives LUNG and his people away. PAO investigates the case and discovers that LUNG's brother is KAU. KAU killed himself because he killed an infant by mistake. He felt guilty. He left a letter asking PAO to execute him. On the other hand, PAO feels suspicious as there is no one reporting information relating to the corpses. CHART is shocked as he realizes that his daughter is still alive when he sees the bracelet. In order to get the bracelet back, YIK works as a maid in CHART's house. She wants to kill CHART by pushing him into a well. However she saves him as she was told that the bracelet that it belonged to his daughter. She is confused.

3. Episode 3

PAO discovers that LUNG has a foster-daughter and suspects that she is the assassin who tricked CHIU away. PAO is lurked by LUNG but is saved by CHIU. PAO visits LUNG in the yamen. CHIU discovers that the officials are wearing clothes with clothes coinciding the corpses' wounds. PAO and CHIU decide to hold a banquet to see if LUNG has a wound on his arm. They also discuss KAU's case in front of him to see his reaction. YIK overhears the plan. PAO orders a fisherman to accuse LUNG. CHIU catches LUNG and wants to check his arm. YIK comes and attacks them. YIK hurts LUNG's arm and as the new wound covers the old one, PAO and CHIU cannot identify LUNG.

CRIU fights YIK. Seeing that CHIU will defeat YIK soon, CHART intentionally let YIK catch him. They escape and take refuge in a deserted temple. CHART shows YIK the bracelet and tells her how they were separated. CHART begs YIK to remove her veil but she is so confused that she leaves. CHART drinks too much wine and he goes to ask LUNG to return his daughter. LUNG is shocked and imprisons him. YIK is in a dilemma. She decides to go to the shop as told by CHART. However the shopkeepers have been killed and the records were spoiled. She finds a masked man and catches him. She discovers that he is BILL. BILL admits that he is sent by LUNG. From the record, she finds that the buyer of the bracelet is YEUNG. She asks CHUNG and from him she knows that YEUNG and CHART is the same person.

5. Episode 5

PAO goes to meet LUNG. LUNG is happy as he has a chance to kill PAO. He buries a bomb in Peach Blossom Kiosk. PAO asks LUNG to send soldiers to search for CHART. He also shows LUNG the letter left by KAU. LUNG realizes that he is wrong and decides to stop his plan. On the other hand, PAO's henchmen identify LUNG's people as they cannot recognize the sacred sword. Pao's henchmen arrest them. YIK knows it and decides to poison PAO with poisonous soup so as to release LUNG's people. LUNG wants to fulfill KAU's hope to dismiss the gang. He and YIK protect their people. LUNG sets CHART free but he uses the antidote to threaten CHART, forcing him not to get YIK back. CHART has to accept the terms reluctantly. LUNG and YIK return to their fortress. YIK leaves a letter and goes away. LUNG is caught by CHIU and PAO accuses him of killing officials. LUNG shoulders all the accusation.… ...

PAO is confused as many famous doctors have disappeared. As most of the doctors' families receive letters from them which state that they are save, CHIU waits outside SIT's house. It is because SIT's family still have not received any information from SIT. At last CHIU finds a masked man sending the letter. The masked man manages to escape. CHIU suspects that the masked man is FAY who has disappeared for seven years. Meanwhile the Mother Queen suffers from incurable disease. The Emperor orders HAU to deliver the "Thousand-year Amber" to the Mother Queen for treatment. However it is stolen by FAY that night. HAD's daughter-in-law is killed. PAO is responsible for the investigation work. He gives the order to arrest FAY. In fact FAY kidnaps famous doctors and steals the amber so as to cure his wife.

FAY was a famous official working in the Yemen. He was a mighty and chivalrous fighter. Seven years ago, he met MAN who was a thief. They mutually attracted each other. They decides to quit their work and lead a normal life. Before they retire, MAN killed the "Ten Demons" but unfortunately MAN was poisoned. For all the seven years, FAY has been trying his best to cure her but in vain. FAY cannot cure MAN with the amber as it is not the real one. HAD's son YIN had taken to real one and sold it to FUK to pay his debt. He was shocked when he learnt that the Emperor wanted it for the Mother Queen's treatment. His wife KIT warned him that he should tell HAD but he was so angry that he killed KIT. He blamed FAY as the killer. CHID believes that FAY is the thief as it is FAY who has the talent to get into HAU's house and take the amber. KIT is killed in such a way that FAY should not be the killer.

8. Episode 8

Later HAU finds YIN making apology in front of KIT's tomb. He questions YIN and when he knows the fact, he decides to get rid of all those knowing the case for his family's fame. KONG is sent to kill FUK and HUNG who is a prostitute so as to get the real amber. KONG is also instructed to kill FAY. FUK and HUNG are lucky and they escape. They run away with the amber. Meanwhile FAY uses the forgery amber to cure MAN and it only worsens her situation. CHIU finds FAY and wants to arrest him. They have a fight and KONG comes to kill FAY. KONG is driven away by CHIU and FAY. In the court, FAY admits that he has kidnapped the doctors and stolen the amber. However he states that he has not killed KIT.

9. Episode 9

HAU stays calm and continues to accuse FAY. CHIU analyses the case and guarantees that FAY will return after curing MAN. PAO agrees and postpones the trial. KONG kills two jail guards and goes to kill FAY. FAY escapes and takes CHAT as hostage. CHAT tells FAY that MAN will die within eight days as the amber is a forgery. CHAT takes the forgery amber and reports to PAO. However he is tricked by KONG on the way and is forced to jump down a cliff. On the other hand, CHIU finds FAY and MAN. He agrees to lead FAY to the court later. For FAY's sake, MAN uses medicine to make CHIU and FAY unconscious and she goes to the court.

10. Episode 10

On the way, MAN comes across KONG who is trying to kill FUK and HUNG. She takes tne amber and is shocked to know the real case. In the court, PAO cannot take MAN's words as FUK and HUNG have been killed. Luckily CHAT is still alive. PAO questions KONG and KONG claims that he did all the crimes with his own decision. He kills himself with the "Tiger Head Chopper". PAO knows that there are some secrets and he begs the Emperor to postpone the deadline for three days. CHIU knows that FAY's is in an unfavorable situation. He has pity on FAY and MAN and he releases FAY to enjoy the last four days with MAN. CHIU is imprisoned as he has broken the law. Meanwhile PAO discovers that YIN indulges in gambling. However he can pay the debt. Thus PAO uses the sacred sword to order HAU to surrender YIN. However he cannot find YIN. In fact YIN has been caught by FAY who threatens HAU to give him the amber.

PO is aware an official rank as he has brilliant performance in the royal examination. His foster mother MAY is awarded "Mother Sincere" by the Emperor. This brings fame to PO's family. Lord HIM appreciates PO and makes his daughter marry PO. PO and his family are happy. KING comes to PO's house. She is in despair as her son has achieved so much but she cannot tell him that she is his real mother. For memorizing his father, PO builds a kiosk. KING and her foster son KIT go to work in the construction site. KING has a chance to talk with PO. PO has a special and warm feeling during the conversation. MAY witnesses it and meets KING in a temple. Meanwhile MAY asks HONG to report to the official so as to get rid of KING.

12. Episode 12

PO finds that MAY is acting in a strange manner. He suspects her and follows her to the temple. He overhears the conversation and realizes that MAY killed his father. PO scolds MAY and they have a quarrel. In chaos PO pushes MAY towards the stature and by accident, MAY is killed by a deserted sickle. Meanwhile HONG comes with some soldiers. For PO and his future, KING asks him to run away and she shoulders the accusation of being a killer. KING Is brought to PAO. PAO suspects her statement as she has no blood stains. He decides to investigate the case. PO is in a dilemma. He does not know whether he should surrender himself to PAO or keep the secret. HONG returns and finds PO wearing clothes with blood. HONG threatens PO to keep the secret but in fact he wants to conceal his crime in the past which he shirked the accusation to KING.

13. Episode 13

KIT goes to the temple to find KING. He finds the jade accessory left by PO. He is shocked to learn that KING has been arrested. He goes to visit KING in the prison. He shows KING the jade accessory and forces KING to tell him the truth. However KING refuses to tell him and states that if he continues, she will kill herself. PO seeks KUEN's advice. However KUEN has gone to work. PO waits for her. CHIU is instructed to get more information relating to KING's background. CHIU finds that she is a kind person and adopted KIT. She also prays to her husband CHUEN's niche. He suspects that there is an unknown relationship between KING, MAY and PO. Therefore he goes to ask the doctor who helped PO be delivered.

14. Episode 14

CHIU arrives at the doctor's house but it is too late. He has been killed. From the doctor's diary, CHIU discovers that MAY's baby died in the delivery course. The doctor was killed by PO who aims at keeping the secret. The next target is KUEN. KIT finds KUEN and tells her what has happened. They go to find PAO together for KING. They are lurked and KUEN is pushed down a cliff. KIT runs away along a stream. CHIU finds KIT and questions him. KIT tells PAO everything but as the jade accessory was kept by KUEN and KUEN was pushed into the sea, they have no way to accuse PO.

15. Episode 15

KIT does not give up and at last he finds the jade accessory. He goes to see PAO but PAO has gone to the palace. KIT has to wait for a day. HONG is aware of what KIT has done and found. PO goes to kill KIT but he is tricked. All are arranged by PAO. In order to run away, PO kidnaps KIT as the hostage. He seeks help from HONG. However HONG wants to kill him. HONG sends CHIU to kill him. In HONG's room, CHIU finds the clothes with blood stains. PAO questions HONG and HONG admits what he has done. He is sentenced capital punishment. KING is released. PAO has mercy on her and gives KIT money as compensation so that he can run his own business.
