Episode synopsis
WONG invites LIN to sew for her and in fact she wants to bridge LIN and HING. LONG comes and scolds them but LIN criticize him that he is too suspicious. WAN wants to marry LONG's daughter YING. However YING loves PING's brother CHUNG. LIN helps YING to drive WAN away and YING thanks her. One night LIN prepares dinner for CHUNG but CHUNG does not turn up. However CHOR arrives and warns her that he has been appointed as an official and LIN should be obedient. CHOR comes to HING's medicine shop when he is patrolling. He pushes HING's medicine on the floor. HING is angry and employs henchmen to burn CHOR's mill. As CHOR, KAM and HEUNG are inside, they are killed by the fire. LIN and LONG are happy to learn their deaths. CHUNG accuses HING as the killer but the judge CHAN MAN SIU regards it as an accident as there is no evidence.

Based on the famous Chinese novel “Kam Ping Mui”, “Gentle Reflections” is about the love and hatred of three girls, Lin (Irene Wan), Yi (Kennix Kwok) and Mui (Yeung Ling). Lin was forced to marry Long (Liu Kai Chi). She was miserableand begged Chung (Tsang Wai Kuen) to take her away, but he refused. Lin was desperate and when Hing (Sinn Lap Man) came and seduced her, she was more than willing to kill Long and marry Hing. Yi loved Chung but due to misunderstanding, she married Hui instead. Hing lusted for Yi and killed Hui to get his hands on her. Yi then pretended to marry Hing in order to kill him for revenge. Lin and Yi competed for Hing’s attention and Lin’s maid Mui was involved…
