‘Prebato!!’ is a variety programme produced by Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS TV) that has been broadcast every Thursday from 19:00 to 20:00 (JST) since 11 October 2012 [Note 1]. It is generally simulcast across all 28 stations in the TBS network; furthermore, in regions without a network affiliate, it is broadcast on a delayed basis through programme sales to Fuji TV network affiliates. Until August 2014, the programme was titled ‘Who Is the Most Useful Celebrity!? Pressure Battle!!’ (Tsukaeru Geinoujin wa Dare da!? Pressure Battle!!), and the current title, ‘Prebato!!’, was originally an abbreviation of this. This entry also covers the special pilot programme ‘The King’s Choice! ~Who Is the Most Useful Celebrity!?~’ (Ousama no Choice ~Tsukaeru Geinoujin wa Dare da!?~), a joint production by Mainichi Broadcasting System and TBS Television, which was broadcast on 9 August 2012 as part of ‘Spamoku!!’.
