Episode synopsis

Lang Yongcheng gathered with Wang Xianmin, Chen Haofeng, and Hou Jidong to discuss retirement. None of them wanted to leave the service. When discussing candidates for squad leader, Chen Haofeng recommends Xia Zhuo, and Wang Xianmin agrees. Hou Jidong, however, disagrees, insisting on selecting Lin Anbang. Ouyang Jun, bearing gifts for the four veterans, overhears this exchange before entering and is deeply hurt. On his way back, he forgets the password and is discovered by Shao Shuai. Xiao Xuan brings Xia Zhuo the items she purchased, asking him to deliver a box of face masks to Yan Yibing along with a remittance receipt. Xia Zhuo waited anxiously for Liang Nuo's letter, and only then did Xiaoxuan bring it out.
