Episode synopsis
Petra, a Russian assassin that gave up that life and loyalty for the old Soviet Union after a blotched assassination attempt caused an innocent boy to get shot, finds herself once again forced into working for the other side when Stepov, the leader of the Russian mafia in San Fransico, California, holds her sister Lara captive, only promising her freedom if Petra assassinates Police Chief Ludlow during a costume ball. When Johnny Domino befriends Petra, the two fall in love and Johnny uses his sensorary powers to learn the truth about Petra's dark past and desperate future. Despite her true love for Johnny and reluctance to once again become a killer, out of loyalty and love for her sister, Petra has no choice. Aware that Johnny knows the truth, Petra tries to drug him to keep him away from the crime scene and possible death. Onto her plan, Johnny only pretends to drink the drugged wine and faint. About Night Man
Night Man is an American action/adventure/sci-fi series that aired in syndication from September 15, 1997 to May 17, 1999. The series is loosely based on a comic book published by Malibu Comics and was created by Steve Englehart and developed for television by Glen A. Larson. It stars Matt McColm as the title character, a superhero whose real name was Johnny Domino, a saxophonist. Englehart would write three episodes of the series. Night Man is also one of the few series to cross over with characters from Larson's previous series: in the episode "Manimal", Johnny allies with Professor Jonathan Chase, the star of the short-lived 1980s' series Manimal.
