Reality • 30 min • 27 seasons, 345 episodes • ★ 7.5/10
Episode synopsis
Terry and America Castagnola have an uninspiring, neutral living room. Host Sam Kivett arrives to assess the situation and outline the problems, which include minimizing the rock fireplace, addressing the awkward garden window, finding a workable space plan and adding much needed color. Kivett meets with his design team, Summer Baltzer and Charles Burbridge, to discuss his solutions. Once the transformation complete, the previously uninspiring, neutral room is now full of bold color and an intimate furniture arrangement. The awkward garden window and large rock fireplace are diminished with the addition of embellished velvet curtains and the creation of a faux window on the opposite side of the fireplace for symmetry and balance. The Castagnolas are amazed and overjoyed with their new living room.
