Episode synopsis

Though promoted in various occasions in the company, Hong is very ambitious and looks forward to a golden opportunity to become one of the richest man in Hong Kong. Kin saves Kim Shui’s life in one of the accident in the prison which opens up the friendship between the two. Ngai-Kwai is not able to recover from the shock of his son's death. He resorts to alcohol and drinks heavily. He falls sick and is hospitalized. Ngai-Kwai gives vent to his hate by arranging people in the prison to beat Kin up. Fortunately, Kim Shui cones across and stop the fight preventing Kin from serious injury. Surprised by her father's action, Cho-Kwan reveals the true story to Ngai-Kwai. She begins to collect evidence against Funs and Yiu-Kwok in order to avenge her brother's death. Kin sets acquainted with Pens Choi and others who are sent to prison for committing commercial crimes. They open their heart to each other and become close friends……

Looking Back in Anger was a 1989 Hong Kong TV series and one of the most watched TVB series by Chinese people in Hong Kong and around the world. Many factors contributed to the success of this series. As well as its tragic but memorable storyline, this series featured a strong cast, with Felix Wong, Deric Wan, Carina Lau, Kathy Chow Hoi-Mei and Maggie Shiu. The popular theme song of the series "Yat sang ho kau" was sung by Danny Chan and later by Deric Wan himself.
