Episode synopsis

Gangadhar Rao seeks the blessings of Tatya Dixit, before going to his chamber to meet Laxmibai. A priest tells the Prime Minister that Tatya Dixit's calculation regarding the auspicious time for the consummation of Gangadhar and Laxmibai's marriage is wrong and could cause disaster. The Prime Minister confronts Tatya Dixit regarding the same. Moropant too consults the religious almanac and agrees that the time is inappropriate. Moropant gets worried and asks the Prime Minister to stop Gangadhar. Sakhubai, Jankibai and Lacho are delighted. Unaware of these happenings, Laxmibai shows reluctance in getting intimate to Gangadhar, claiming that she is not mentally prepared yet. Tatya Dixit feels offended at the priest's allegation and decided to demand justice from the king. Gangadhar understands Laxmibai's situation and supports her. Gangadhar hears the bell ringing outside the palace and decides to hear out the woe of the complainant.

Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani... Jhansi Ki Rani is an Indian historical drama based on the life of Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi, one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The series was directed by Jitendra Srivastava and written by Rajesh Saksham, Ila Dutta Bedi, Malavika Asthana and Mairaj Zaidi. It premiered on 18 August 2009 on Zee TV with Ulka Gupta playing Queen Lakshmi Bai. On 8 June 2010 the story moved on several years and Kratika Sengar portrayed the Queen from there on. The show's last episode went to air on 19 June 2011.
