Episode synopsis
Rao Dulajo is publicly tortured in Jhansi by the subjects. They demand that his body be thrown out of Jhansi. Laxmibai then exhorts her subjects to unite to destroy their enemies like Hugh Rose. Karma and Ghaus Khan visit the site of explosion and get worried when they realise that one British officer has escaped. They convey this bad news to Laxmibai and the others. Karma says that he suspects it is Hugh Rose. Laxmibai asks everyone to be on high alert. Meanwhile, Hugh Rose promises to seek revenge from Laxmibai. In England, Queen Victoria is furious hearing about the turn of events. She is then informed that Hugh Rose is still alive. Meanwhile, Nana Saheb tells Laxmibai that if the powerful kings of Gwalior, Datia and Banda join the revolution, then they could be victorious in acquiring independence.

Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani... Jhansi Ki Rani is an Indian historical drama based on the life of Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi, one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The series was directed by Jitendra Srivastava and written by Rajesh Saksham, Ila Dutta Bedi, Malavika Asthana and Mairaj Zaidi. It premiered on 18 August 2009 on Zee TV with Ulka Gupta playing Queen Lakshmi Bai. On 8 June 2010 the story moved on several years and Kratika Sengar portrayed the Queen from there on. The show's last episode went to air on 19 June 2011.
