Episode synopsis
The messenger informs Laddi that she has been summoned to the palace as the prince had stopped smiling and may have lost his voice. Laxmibai voices her worries to Gangadhar and vows to save Jhansi and its throne. Meanwhile, Hugh Rose is informed that the missionaries are being sent to Jhokan Baug to protect them. When Raghunath is taking away the missionaries, they are confronted by the subjects of Jhansi. A man in the crowd named Bakshish Ali voices his anger against the British. Ghaus Khan tells Raghunath that Bakshish Ali once worked for the British but had turned against them when the British had killed his family. Bakshish Ali and Ghaus Khan get into a war of words with the former inciting the crowd to attack the missionaries because they were responsible for the prince losing his voice but Raghunath stops them and asks them to heed their queen. Ghaus Khan asks them to wait for the queen's decision.

Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani... Jhansi Ki Rani is an Indian historical drama based on the life of Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi, one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The series was directed by Jitendra Srivastava and written by Rajesh Saksham, Ila Dutta Bedi, Malavika Asthana and Mairaj Zaidi. It premiered on 18 August 2009 on Zee TV with Ulka Gupta playing Queen Lakshmi Bai. On 8 June 2010 the story moved on several years and Kratika Sengar portrayed the Queen from there on. The show's last episode went to air on 19 June 2011.
