About this season
Hailey Harris is a former sitcom actress trying to reclaim her Artistic integrity by writing and performing a one woman show. She returns to her hometown in North Carolina and becomes embroiled in local eccentricities and personal demons as her shows deadline looms

She starts to write questionable material, begins to suspect Marjorie may be up to no good, receives a 'pep' talk from her father in England and meets the sexually fluid local conductor (and her mother's last ex) Pavel.

Hailey considers whether tap is due for a comeback. She sleeps with the lawn boy, uncovers a low rent plot between Marjorie and Pavel to defraud her mother, and starts to doubt if she'll have anything to perform onstage.
