Having not succeeded in capturing KONG, SAM-SZE finds an excuse to bring SHAN and FA to the palace and throw them in jail. He tells KONG the truth and advises him to stay home for the next 100 days or something terrible will happen to his family. KUNG is then left paralyzed and mute. Having noticed how KUNG suffers, the Emperor feels very bewildered. TIN means to pester him with trivial things in order to make him more burdened. SHAN and FA have become suspicious of their son and decide to spy on him. KONG turns to KUNG for advice on how to exorcize FAN’s spirit. Much to his disappointment, KUNG cannot give him any help. Ashamed and angry, KONG intends to take his life but is immediately stopped by FAN’s spirit. Meanwhile, FA passes by and has spotted everything. KONG tells her the truth and begs her to kill him. TIN plans to find HIN a wife but HIN rejects the idea, which makes her realize he is in love with SZE. She then goes to warn SZE not to see HIN again. SZE has arranged a farewell gathering with HIN so that they will have a chance to meet again and discuss how to fight against TIN.
