Episode synopsis
2009 U17 world champion Haris Seferovic will have to hold his own against the brashly attacking youth of Ruben Vargas and Noah Okafor if he is to seize what is probably the last chance of the golden generation to reach a World Cup quarterfinal with the Swiss national team for the first time in history. Whether it's an injury, a career setback or a catcall, in Seferovic's case it's his wife Amina, in Vargas' case it's his faith in God, in Fabian Frei's case it's his experience in the team that helps prepare him for the decisive round of 16 match against Portugal. A lifetime of preparation, but the game turns into a debacle: 6:1 - Swiss football is down.
About The Pressure Game
"The Pressure Game - In the Heart of the Swiss Nati" is a docutainment series with six episodes of 30 minutes each. The focus is on the Swiss men's national soccer team - the Nati. The series is produced by the Zurich-based film production stories AG in co-production with SRG and freshcom GmbH and in cooperation with the Swiss Football Association, which allows the camera team free access behind the scenes. The series will be broadcast nationally from March 21 on all SRG SSR channels and via the streaming platform Play Suisse. International exploitation is also planned. The series is based on an idea by Simon Helbling and Samy Ebneter. Simon Helbling is the director.
