2000
Angela Scanlon invites comedians Ellie Taylor and Geoff Norcott to join her on a light-hearted look back at the decade that kicked off a brand new century - the noughties. In this episode, they focus on the year it all started, 2000. Together, they share their memories of celebrating a new millennium – the fireworks, the Dome and the Y2K bug – and the biggest and best of the year’s films, music and television. It was the year that the Big Brother house opened its doors for the very first time, Kylie was Spinning Around in her iconic gold hotpants, Victoria Beckham went solo and Anne Robinson became TV’s most feared woman, keeping quiz contenders in their place on The Weakest Link.

2001
Harry Potter works his movie magic in cinemas for the very first time, the nation is gripped by a killer EastEnders storyline with the mystery over who shot Phil Mitchell, Louis Theroux has a famous encounter with the Hamiltons, and Slough becomes the centre of the comedy universe thanks to the antics of Office manager, friend and entertainer - the one and only David Brent.

2002
In this latest celebration of all things noughties, Angela Scanlon invites singer Kimberley Walsh and comedian Dane Baptiste to join her on a trip back in time to 2002. Together, the trio dissect the year’s biggest music, film and television hits - trying to answer questions like why did Michael Jackson dangle his baby out of a hotel window? How did Spooks become the TV’s most shocking new show? And what on earth was Justin Timberlake wearing? On top of all that, there is still time to hail Queen of Hollywood Halle Berry, revisit Will and Gareth’s great chart challenge and get the inside info from Kimberley on life as a member of the year’s biggest new pop sensations, Girls Aloud.

2003
This time, it is 2003 that is getting a good going over as host Angela Scanlon is joined by ex-EastEnders hardman Nigel Harman and The Mash Report’s killer comedy queen Rachel Parris. They take on a year that saw us fall Crazy in Love with Beyonce as she launched herself as a solo star, and falling off our sofas when Jemini performed at Eurovision. We had David Blaine over here and living in a box, S Club 7 becoming party poopers and Madonna unsure what she liked best - Britain or Britney? All that and the year’s biggest films, top music tracks and tracksuits.

2004
Joining Angela Scanlon this week are Clara Amfo and Dev Griffin - both Radio One DJs, both TV presenters and both stars of Strictly Come Dancing, which waltzed its way into the nation’s living rooms for the very first time in 2004. As well as sharing their insights on all things dance, our time-travelling trio cover all the music and film highlights that the year tossed our way, relive Janet and Justin’s jaw-dropping moment at the Superbowl and talk teary goodbyes for Friends and Sex and the City. They also look back on how David Beckham became a brand and debate who the year’s biggest bad-influencers were – the addicted gamers who were pushing Grand Theft Auto or fans of fiercely divisive footwear fetish the Ugg Boot?

2005
Angela Scanlon’s fellow time-travellers are comedian Russell Kane and actress Tracy-Ann Oberman. Together they explore all of 2005’s film, music and TV highlights, which include a new Doctor Who - back with a bang for the first time in years, with Christopher Ecclestone at the helm of the Tardis, until he promptly regenerated into David Tennant. Also new to our screens was The Apprentice, with Sir Alan Sugar firing off on all cylinders. It was the year that supermodel Kate Moss redefined festival chic and hit the headlines with her relationship with Pete Doherty - a relationship almost as problematic as the one Dirty Den and Chrissie Watts were experiencing in EastEnders. Love was also in the air for Elton John, Prince Charles and Brangelina – and the nation took Paula Radcliffe to their hearts when she won the London Marathon - in spite of an unexpected pit stop.

2006
Getting their kicks in 2006 are writer and broadcaster Grace Dent and comedian Nathan Caton, joining Angela Scanlon to celebrate the film, music and TV highlights of the year. Amongst the items up for scrutiny are how Take That staged one of pop music’s most successful comebacks ever, Amy Winehouse and the huge impact she had here and in America, Daniel Craig getting his licence to kill for the first time in Casino Royale, and High School Musical being too cool for school. And if you check your watch, chances are it's Chico Time.

2007
Joining Angela Scanlon to find out what pop culture heaven was in 2007 are presenter Cherry Healey and actor Tyger Drew-Honey. Their exploration of the year’s film, music and TV highlights includes a look at Big Brother’s biggest controversy, with Shilpa Shetty on the receiving end of racist abuse from her housemates. Tyger gives us the inside story on the sitcom smash Outnumbered, it was the year that Leona Lewis was Bleeding Love and Rhianna pulled out her Umbrella, the Spice Girls reunited, the Simpsons made a movie, and on Jools Holland’s Later..., we got our first glimpse of a new singing talent called Adele.
