Episode synopsis

Paz receives the results of the DNA test she did on Max and confirms that the minor is not her daughter, Fermín assures that Ginebra may be behind everything. Esteban immerses himself in the tub with ice to lower his body temperature and thus eliminate the tracker that Ginebra placed on him; However, the situation is getting out of hand. Elvira does not accept that her granddaughter has become involved with a man who is about to become a father, Gala begs her to forget her beliefs and let her be happy. Paz informs Ginebra and Esteban that Max is not her daughter since he performed another DNA test on her and assures them that if they are making fun of her, he will take care of justice. Mauro panics and asks Ginebra to escape before they are discovered. She has a better strategy and shares that they will lower Paz and Esteban's guard so that they give themselves away.

Paz Roble, a kind, hard-working and honest woman from whom her husband, Fermín, takes her newborn daughter. Fermín has a large debt with some lenders and to pay it he decides to sell his daughter to Mauro Nicoliti. This plagiarism is orchestrated by Geneva, Mauro's adoptive sister. She lost her first-born daughter in childbirth and does everything to replace her dead daughter and keep her husband's fortune. On the other hand, Esteban Villa de Cortés loses his wife and becomes a widower with his three children. Elvira Moncada, Esteban's mother-in-law, holds him responsible for the death of her daughter. After a series of unexpected events, Esteban and Paz meet in the neighborhood where she lives with her family. The chemistry and great understanding that exists between them makes it inevitable that they will fall in love.
