14 min • 16 seasons, 96 episodes
Episode synopsis
Let’s do a survey of Matthew’s Gospel. What’s a survey? Basically, we’re going to examine Matthew’s book in broad terms. We’re going to look at the Big Picture: The Presentation of The King (Matthew 1:1-4:11) The Proclamation of The King (Matthew 4:12-16:20) The Passion of The King (Matthew 16:21-28:20) Matthew’s Gospel was not written in chronological order. That way, Matthew could arrange his material to present a simple guiding truth, Jesus was the King of the Jews.
About Drive Thru History: Bible Backroads
BIBLE BACKROADS™ is a new show from Drive Thru History®, which explores the people, places, and events of the New Testament. Hosted by Dave Stotts, each series is designed as a Bible teaching tool for churches, schools, and families. The home base for the show is Dave’s Garage™, a state-of-the-art, extended reality lair where almost anything is possible. In addition to using maps, timelines, animations and artifacts in his garage, Dave goes on-location to Israel and the Mediterranean region for many of his adventures. BIBLE BACKROADS™ was created as a non-denominational resource, which focuses on Bible history, archaeology, geography, and apologetics, while encouraging viewers to dig deeper into the scriptures themselves.
