Episode synopsis

“If same-sex marriage doesn’t happen… marry someone of the opposite sex who betrayed you.” Airi (Kitano Ruka) and Yuki (Hinoi Asuka) have been living together for 10 years, dreaming of same-sex marriage. But Yuki betrays Airi by marrying her childhood friend! It turns out they registered their marriage to reassure her grandmother, who had only a short time left to live. Unable to accept this, Airi turns to Hajime and Kai. “Same-sex marriage isn’t recognized, but does that mean a 10-year common-law relationship loses to a marriage that lasted only two months? Which one is valid?” Hajime and Kai become passionate, as the issue affects their own lives. But the person who appears as Yuki’s attorney is completely unexpected, and the debate quickly becomes a tangled mess… Meanwhile, Hajime’s older sister, Kaede (Iriyama Noriko), begs her husband, Owari, for a divorce so she can have custody of Anna (Masuda Risa) herself. At the same time, Hajime faces the biggest crisis of his life!?
