Episode synopsis
Remy, Anne, and C.D. are approached by a young policewoman and Civil War buff to help her investigate the murder of her friend who was allegedly trying to track down alligator poaches in the bayous. While Remy begins to think there is a connection between a bar owner who operates without a liquor license, Anne and Officer Joyce get stuck in a tree to get away from an aggressive alligator, while Joyce persuades C.D. to let her join his reenactment group. Also, Smiley tries to find more work to write while he continues his music career.

The Big Easy television series was inspired by the film of the same name from 1987. The show premiered on the USA Cable Network August 11, 1996. Tony Crane played New Orleans police lieutenant/detective Remy McSwain, Susan Walters played state district attorney Anne Osbourne and Barry Corbin played police chief C.D. LeBlanc. Daniel Petrie Jr. was the executive producer of the series. 35 episodes were broadcast over two seasons. The series takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana and was shot on location.
