Tiago lets slip to Silvana that he suspects someone from the Brandão family may have killed Arthur. Fábia discovers that Ulisses lied about his whereabouts on the night of his brother's death. Pedro informs Adriana that he will be her defense lawyer. Pedro makes it clear to Adriana that he is willing to confront his father to defend her. Fábia tells Dora that Ulisses is hiding something.

A hardworking physical therapist, Adriana is facing multiple challenges at once. After being fired from the clinic where she works, her house is hit by a flood that ends up killing her husband, Carlos.
