Episode synopsis
LIM FU realizes that Uncle CHEUNG has a newborn child recently. And, he is curious to find out the reason, why Uncle CHEUNG can still have baby in such an old age. Since Uncle CHEUNG tells FU that it was the blessing of the goddess of Mercy; therefore, FU seeks for the blessing too and purchases a statue of the goddess of Mercy which costs one hundred pounds. Unfortunately, FU meets his enemy CHUEN when he returns home. In order to avoid causing damage on the statue, FU protects it cautiously. CHUEN notices about it and makes fun on him intentionally. FU is furious and determines to take revenge on him later. Since CHUEN spends a lot of time in blocking the way of FU, CHUEN is late for the delivery of pork to Honey Cave on the other hand. Thus, CHUEN provides an excuse for FU to terminate the purchase contract eventually.
About Virtues of Harmony
Virtues of Harmony is a long-running sitcom from Hong Kong, lasting 322 episodes with two direct seasons. Produced by Tsui Yu On, the sitcom was a TVB production and aired five days a week from September 17, 2001 to December 28, 2002. The series chronicles the comical events and life of the Kam household, a rich family during a prosperous time in the Ming Dynasty of China. The series was inspired by the 2000 TVB comedy drama Colourful Life. Originally planned to be an 150-episode sitcom, an extra 200 episodes were added due to the sitcom's rating success. After the episode finale, a spin-off sequel, Virtues of Harmony II was released in 2003, as well as a spin-off musical, which starred the same cast.
