Episode synopsis

MING is getting more and more nervous, as UNCLE EVAN’s visit is around the corner. HOI-YEE suggests him writing a letter to UNCLE EVAN to confirm his exact day of visit. As she is translating MING’s reply letter, she is stunned to find that it is packed of lies. She decides to help him after listening to his explanation. On one hand, ROGER agrees to help MING with the translation. On the other, he throws MING’s letter into the rubbish bin as soon as MING has left. HON picks it up and takes it to HOI’s place. HOI-YEE visits HOI. After reading MING’s letter, she decides to help him once more. MING will give a speech and sing a song at UNCLE EVAN’s welcoming party. While HOI-YEE helps him with his English and the rehearsal, HOI asks his colleagues to put up a good show for MING. MING plays and sings a song for UNCLE EVAN at the welcoming party.

Chung Kwok-Chu is a renowned food critic and an assistant editor-in-chief of a newspaper, Ko Jim Daily. When his son, Si-Hon returns from Canada, Chu is disappointed to find that Si Hon intends to become a chef rather than taking up a professional career. His attempts to guide his son away are thwarted when Shum Bui-yee, a well-known and respected chef, reluctantly accepts Si-Hon as her assistant. Meanwhile, Kwok-Chu struggles to keep peace amongst extended family members.
