Episode synopsis
CHU and the others take the mango tree to Aunt To’s Farm. When they finally arrive at the restaurant, SUM has already left. CHING’s mother has mailed her a video clip. It reminds her of the warm and happy memory of them eating marinated eggs together when she was a kid. CHING cannot find a satisfactory marinade sauce. She asks YEE for advice as suggested by HON, only to be shown the cold shoulder. HOI has borrowed the Joyful Kitchen from HON for CHING. YEE shows up suddenly when CHING is cooking marinade sauce. CHING hopes that YEE would let her finish cooking the marinade sauce for her mother, who she has not seen for seven years. YEE’s attitude softens. What is more, she helps CHING. CHING is still not happy with the sauce they have come up with. YEE has prepared a big breakfast for KWAI, which she says her family used to have for breakfast every day in the past. KWAI takes a photo of the breakfast and uploads it on to the web.

Chung Kwok-Chu is a renowned food critic and an assistant editor-in-chief of a newspaper, Ko Jim Daily. When his son, Si-Hon returns from Canada, Chu is disappointed to find that Si Hon intends to become a chef rather than taking up a professional career. His attempts to guide his son away are thwarted when Shum Bui-yee, a well-known and respected chef, reluctantly accepts Si-Hon as her assistant. Meanwhile, Kwok-Chu struggles to keep peace amongst extended family members.
