Episode synopsis

Rumors have it that UNCLE KAU is leaving Hong Kong soon. As all know, YEE and UNCLE KAU are very close. KWAN offers to pay HOI-YEE $50,000 if she can interview him before he goes. UNCLE KAU is throwing a birthday party for his younger sister. HOI-YEE pretends to be a waitress at the party, but UNCLE KAU recognizes her right away. YEE shows up just when he is kicking HOI-YEE away. UNCLE KAU’s younger sister has recently opened a quality food shop. As part of his marketing campaign, he invites YEE to write for a newspaper column with notable female author CHOW SIU-LAN. In an arrogant manner, LAN tells YEE to cook bird’s nest with abalone. HOI-YEE overhears everything at the door. LAN refuses to write anything. YEE suggests letting HOI-YEE be responsible for the writing of the column. Later, HOI-YEE takes her article to the restaurant to let YEE have a look. YEE cannot read it right away though. HOI sees YEE reading HOI-YEE’s article.… ...

Chung Kwok-Chu is a renowned food critic and an assistant editor-in-chief of a newspaper, Ko Jim Daily. When his son, Si-Hon returns from Canada, Chu is disappointed to find that Si Hon intends to become a chef rather than taking up a professional career. His attempts to guide his son away are thwarted when Shum Bui-yee, a well-known and respected chef, reluctantly accepts Si-Hon as her assistant. Meanwhile, Kwok-Chu struggles to keep peace amongst extended family members.
