Episode synopsis
LEI has been discharged. She buys each member of FONG’s family a present as well as inviting them to her place for dinner. The family leaves in the middle of the meal, after having had enough of LEI’s humiliating remarks. The shop next door has been driven out of business by high rent. NING-ON worries that her landlord will jump at the chance to demand a higher rent. LEI goes to Warehouse to accuse NING-ON and her family for leaving early the other day. NING-ON apologizes to her and then takes her home for dinner. LEI does not want to go home after the dinner. NING-ON decides to put her up for the night. NING-ON’s landlord demands a 100% rent increase. If she refuses to accept the proposal she will have to move when her contract expires. When LEI learns about this, she gives NING-ON a big amount check, believing this is the real reason why NING-ON has been trying to please her lately. FONG blames LEI for hurting NING-ON……
