Episode synopsis
The KO’s family organizes a barbecue gathering. YIP KWAI’s old schoolmate invites him to start a singing career in Malaysia but YIP KWAI rejects him for he doesn’t want to leave the KO’s family and friends in Hong Kong. YIP KWAI overhears LAM FAT and YU-CHU’s conversation by accident. The two families don’t really want YIP KWAI to stay with them without any financial contribution... WAI-TING and his wife are worrying about their promotional campaign. LAM FAT goes to buy ginseng but he doesn’t have enough cash. YU-CHU arrives on time to help him. YU-CHU finds that LAM FAT is taking a box back to the pawnshop secretly. When LAM FAT returns home, YU-CHU and YIP KWAI question him. LAM FAT reveals to them that the mother of his ex-girlfriend MARY is sick…

Pawnshop owner Ko Yee-Man often upholds the 'emergency assistance' spirit – there will always be solutions to everything in life, with exception of his three beloved children: Oldest son Ko Wai-Ting and his wife Wan Yun-Han are a very loving couple, but their careers trip them up. Second daughter Ko Yue-Chu almost became the third party in a relationship but was fortunate enough that her bickering friend Lam Fat was there to pull her back up on her feet. As for youngest daughter Ko Yue-Bo, she is a fast and dodgy person. She only knows how to chat day and night, and has no integrity.
