Episode synopsis
LUK-HEI urges LAU-FEI to write back to SEUNG-LING so as not to make her worry. At last LAU-FEI issues a letter himself. NAM-MUNG suddenly sees YING-KAM smoking tobacco despite being pregnant, so he cannot refrain from persuading her to stop. TSAU-YIN defends NAM-MUNG, and in a moment of desperation, he even hurts YING-KAM inadvertently, making her lapse into a coma with a lot of blood gushing out from her lower abdomen. SEUNG-LING complains to Lady YUE-YUET about the letter received from LAU-FEI. According to the letter, LAU-FEI wants to sever his relationship with SEUNG-LING. Lady YUE-YUET gives YEE-HO a severe reprimand for not being obedient, whereas YEE-HO keens on protecting her master, stating that she has already burnt the silk handkerchief, on which SEUNG-LING embroidered the lyric poetry of "This Song of Divination".… ...

In order to air her grievances towards her elder sister Lady Yue-Yuet, Lady Shun Yuen-Sau spreads rumours of Yue-Yuet in the palace. The ambitious nursing mother Seung-Ling tries to collect evidence against the rumours in exchange for money from others. She soon becomes a trusted follower and a close friend of Lady Yue-Yuet.
