Episode synopsis
One night, Candice is called to an emergency at a local hotel after a wheelchair-bound man is thrown down a flight of stairs. It turns out the man had leukemia and had been tended to by the hotel staff but lately his condition had worsened. Was it attempted murder, or suicide? Candice feels exhausted from the demands of work and motherhood when someone appears out of the blue to make it all worse.

Candice Renoir had put her career on standby for 10 years. When she returns from Singapore to resume service in a port town in the south of France, she feels a bit “rusty”.
