Episode synopsis
Alberto Angela in a new, fascinating nocturnal journey. After the successes of the Egyptian Museum, Florence and San Pietro, this is the turn of Venice. A stage full of art, love, intrigue and commerce on which characters moved, such as Goldoni, Vivaldi, Marco Polo, Casanova. A journey among famous masterpieces of art, among the precious marbles and gold of the mosaics of the Basilica of San Marco, the silence of the lagoon, the glitter of the Grand Canal, but also behind the scenes of the Fenice or in the Venetian foyers of the 18th century . Discovering a city unique in the world that loved sophistication, music, gambling and beautiful courtesans, Angela takes us, one night around the lagoon, until we see the pink reflections of dawn on the water again... Like always great guests for a production made entirely by Rai in 4K HDR, with spectacular shots from drones, helicopters, visual effects, mini-fiction. All at the service of a great cultural operation of Rai1.
About Tonight in...
« For over twenty years we have filmed at night in the most important museums in the world. It's the only possible time to film the empty halls or the precious artifacts out of the windows because there are no visitors. But at night the Museum changes face. Just you in front of the masterpieces in the silence. The Museum seems to show and offer you its treasures in an atmosphere of intimacy. I always wanted to transmit and give this atmosphere that I breathed to viewers. » (Alberto Angela)
