Episode synopsis

On New Year's Day, all officials' families are required to go to the harem to pay homage to the queen. When Huang Feihu's wife, Mrs. Jia, came to pay her respects, Daji hated Huang Feihu for killing her sister. While coaxing Mr. Jia into going to the Star-Zhaing Tower, she secretly sent someone to call King Zhou. As expected by Da Ji: King Zhou coveted Jia's beauty and intended to be frivolous towards her. Unable to bear the humiliation, Jia jumped off the building and committed suicide. Huang Feihu's sister, Huang Fei, knew that her sister-in-law died tragically, and angrily came to scold King Zhou and Daji. During the fight with Daji, she accidentally slapped King Zhou. King Zhou was so angry that he picked up Huang Fei and threw her down from the Zhaixing Tower, killing her alive.

The television series are based on the classical 16th-century novel Fengshen Yanyi (also known as Investiture of the Gods or Creation of the Gods) written by Xu Zhonglin and Lu Xixing.
