Episode synopsis
Daji finally died, and King Zhou was grief-stricken and guarded her soul day and night. Shen Gongbao suddenly appeared, destroyed the demon-slaying sword, and rescued Daji in time. After Daji came back from the dead, her heart became even more vicious. In order to please Daji, King Zhou insisted on punishing Meibo by cannon, regardless of the begging of his ministers. Seeing this miserable situation, Prime Minister Shang Rong had a premonition that the Shang Dynasty was over. He was disheartened and asked King Zhou to retire and return home. King Zhou and Daji spent the whole night singing and dancing in the palace.

The Investiture of the Gods is a 1990 Chinese shenmo television series written by Bing Tian, Gu Hanchang, Ouyang Yuping and Yu Youchen. The television series are based on the classical 16th-century novel Fengshen Yanyi (also known as Investiture of the Gods or Creation of the Gods) written by Xu Zhonglin and Lu Xixing.
