Laura Aird returns to Scotland after a stay with her biological father Conrad Tucker in the USA and celebrates a reunion with her boyfriend Hamish Balmerino. But the joy is marred by the death of her grandmother Violet. No one suspects that the opening of the will will cause great turbulence. The old lady left her shares in the company Edmund founded to a certain Olivia Thorpe, whom no one knows. Edmund worries that this could result in the Airds losing control of the stock and this could be a key advantage for his ruthless ex-son-in-law, Noel Keeling, who is still CEO and has declared war on the Airds.
