Ukan Kurihara introduces him to the class where he will be the student teacher. All primary characters who are high school student are conveniently members of this single class.

While Tenchi continues their search, they come along, in search of a monster ravaging the area. They discover and have a short battle with a Ryoko (the monster) that doesn't recognize Tenchi. First Class Detective Mihoshi arrives in a battle suit to arrest her. (In the original story, the prince and the three retainers defeat an Oni).

Tenchi and Hachiko wander a cavernous warehouse full of booby-traps to gather resources for the upcoming Cultural Festival. According to Hachiko, a guidebook is needed to navigate it. The Science Club follows them and immediately get lost and end up running for their lives from a giant rolling iron ball. Tenchi and Hachiko also have to run and lose the guidebook.
