Episode synopsis
SHAU-SHING and the others go drinking together at Red Club. SZEMA CAU arrives in strange costume to perform magic. SHEUNG-LUK is not interested in the show and Auntie PO brings him to rest at the wing-room. A woman suddenly screams. CHIK YING-HA who has a birth mark on her face comes out with her customer. SHEUNG-LUK discovers that YING-HA's shoulder is injured and he realizes what has happened. In a moonless night, two armed killers are chasing after KEI SIU-KUEN. SZEMA CAU arrives to rescue her but he fails to defeat the two men. He is injured but he continues to fight with them. YUI-HUNG and SHEUNG-LUK discover the pregnant SIU-KUEN. SIU-KUEN is seriously injured and she dies. However YUI-HUNG asks SHEUNG-LUK to rescue the baby by cutting SIU-KUEN's belly. The beautiful top courtesan SUN-YUET arrives at Red Club. Executioner Yip Sheung-luk has shed blood too many times to count. To protect his savior’s pregnant daughter-in-law Yuen So-sam from danger, Sheung-luk sends So-sam to the capital, where she is to stay with renowned midwife Fa Yui-hung. A series of strange murders soon take place, and Sheung-luk saves a little life with his blade. But this baby boy of unknown origin gets Sheung-luk and Yui-hung in trouble with the imperial court.
