The fashion magazine under the leadership of fashion icon Yip Long is like the imperial palace with its constant infighting. Publisher Ci Wai Man appears to be fawning over editor-in-chief but is actually hiding a dagger beneath his smile. Ci Wai Man purposely appoints Gei Wan Wan to be the Marketing Director to balance against Yip Long' power at the magazine. Yip Long can handle the infighting with ease, but one time, he falters and is caught up in a lawsuit. The incident involves a rejected job applicant Cheung Yat Ning. Yip Long uses this opportunity to stir up the news story by hiring Cheung Yat Ning, a tailor from Sham Shui Po, as his assistant. It sets off upheaval at the magazine and causes the lazy fashion editor Fan Gwok Bong to change his attitude completely. Meanwhile, with her hard-working and sunny attitude, Cheung Yat Ning is able to break through many barriers and whole-heartedly works for her idol Yip Long. When the magazine falls dangerously close to shutting down, Cheung Yat Ning and Fan Gwok Nong join forces to create a miracle and help Yip Long win back all the applause. At this time, Yip Long decides to announce his successor and retire from the fashion industry.

Waiting quietly in the typesetting room, YAT-NING feels so bored that she starts moving things around in the room without permission. IP LONG sees YAT-NING, and tells the deputy editor-in-chief SHEK WAI-SHAN not to hire her. Feeling depressed, YAT-NING asks IP LONG for an explanation, to which IP LONG replies it has something to do with her handbag.… ...

With a defamatory statement regarding IP LONG spreading like wildfire through the internet, WAI-SHAN and MEG on behalf of the company inform the media that IP LONG is going to hold a press conference. During a visit, WAI-MAN seizes the opportunity when there is no one else around to tell WAN-WAN that IP LONG is an office tyrant, suggesting that they should join forces with each other to deal with IP LONG. As soon as ZOE learns that WAN-WAN is put in charge of the advertising department, she goes to report it to YEE-SUM as she is afraid that her job will be threatened. Unexpectedly, YEE-SUM claims that her father is one of the board members, so she is confident that the change will not affect her at all, and their conversation happens to be heard by KWOK-BONG. When WAN-WAN requests IP LONG to devote a ten-page spread in the next issue for her client's new advertisement, IP LONG on the contrary emphasizes that those pages are reserved exclusively for YING ZING, above which he even puts KWOK-BONG in charge of the feature about YING ZING. Due to her father and his position, YEE-SUM learns that WAN-WAN is going to take advantage of the issue regarding YING ZING to accuse IP LONG in the upcoming board meeting, so she asks WAI-SHAN whether she is going to inform IP LONG about the matter. Meanwhile, YAT-NING is watching the live coverage of IP LONG, to her surprise, not only does IP LONG forgive her, but she also hears the best news ever.… ...

While going to work at MODES, YAT-NING runs into MEG who briefs her about the company's operations, adding that the editorial department and the advertising department don't get along with each other and they are like cats and dogs. YAT-NING cannot help feeling startled after learning that she works under KWOK-BONG because KWOK-BONG is known to be lazy. Paying a visit to YING ZING at the hotel, SHING-HO notices that someone visited her earlier so he immediately informs IP LONG about it. After YAT-NING relays that IP LONG requested them to submit the blueprint three days earlier, KWOK-BONG frankly discloses that he does not intend to do anything so as to get himself fired by IP LONG. After receiving a legal letter from CREAMY, WAN-WAN has no idea how to deal with it, but WAI-MAN urges her to solve the problem within a week. While SHING-HO and the others are seeking to take advantage of the situation to kick WAN-WAN out of the company, IP LONG instead tells WAI-SHAN to go and offer her some advice. Asking KWOK-BONG for a favor, WAN-WAN hopes that he will help persuade the CEO of CREAMY, adding that she will give him the name of the reporter who secretly filmed him dating an actress. After WAI-MAN tells KING-SUN that IP LONG wants to increase the budget, IP LONG shows up and suggests an alternative to increasing the budget, which is to suspend publication of one of the magazines and transfer all the resources to MODES. KING-HANG and PHOEBE are suddenly surrounded by the journalists when leaving the office; whereas IP LONG pays a visit to SAI-TUNG at the hospital, telling him about everything that happened to MODES recently.
