Kaede Honjou is invited by her friend Risa Shiramine to play a virtual reality MMO game with her. While Kaede doesn't dislike games, what she really, truly dislikes is being in pain. Maple enters a battle royal and is hunted down by a horde of players. Risa uses her swimming talent to explore an underwater cave with her character Sally.

After Maple gets nerfed, her and Sally do some exploring before challenging the dungeon that leads to the second level. Can they clear it in time for the second event?
