Episode synopsis
In 1947, the 48-year-old Crown Prince Frederik was proclaimed King of Denmark. The new royal couple is introducing a new and more open style than the king's father Christian X. But soon the new king is faced with a difficult choice, as he must help decide whether his eldest daughter, Princess Margrethe, will ever inherit the throne. Because without sons, the throne passes to his brother, Prince Knud, and his sons. However, it requires a change in the law and what do the Danes say about it?
