At the Ching palace, a monk steals a look at the divine secret and is chased by the royal guards. He flees to the cliff, and blinded by a eagle, he falls off the cliff. Thereafter, he becomes the wanted convict. Twenty years later at a Kwantung Province, a couple, CHAN YUE LUNG and his wife, who have married for years are longing for children. One night, LUNG's wife dreams of being crushed by a huge tangerine and after that she finds herself pregnant. A neighbor, KAM MING YUE, has been coveting for LUNG's wealth. Seeing that his business is expanding, KAM MING YUE loses interest in YUE LUNG’s rice shop, and since CHAN MUNG TAK has disappeared, he denies the marriage. The KAM family moves to the capital. Not only does CHUK CHEN TZE teaches CHAN how to speak, he gives him advice on life. However, he refuses to reveal his identity and how he becomes blind. On the way home, CHAN is kidnapped by the bandit woman, MADAM CHU, who then asks for reward from YUE LUNG. LUNG is delighted to reunite with his son. CHAN MUNG TAK is jealous of a smart-looking new student, TO WAN FUNG, who enrolls in the college. When each time trying to make fun of FUNG, the victim, however, turns out to be KWUN VAT. FUNG is in fact MADAM TO's daughter, VEE MUI. Paving way for her daughter to strive for a bright future, MADAM TO asks SAM YEI to accompanies MUI, who impersonates as a man, to study in the college.

To frame TO YEE MUI of indecent behavior, CHAN MUNG TAK dates YUET NGOR in his name and draws the village chief to the scene. MUI shows herself as a woman and claims herself to be TO WAN FUNG's sister, making fun of CHAN instead. CHAN sneaks into MUI's house and discovers that he is in fact a woman. Falls for her beauty, CHAN tries hard to please her but she is unmoved. Learning that MUI has a charming sister, KWUN YAT asks to meet her, much to puzzle MUI. Fearing that KWUN would discover MUI’s identity and wins her affection ahead of him, CHAN tries every means to drive a wedge between the two. MUI rebukes CHAN of his mean endeavor. CHAN takes the chance to reveal her identity and shows his love for her. To discourage CHAN, MUI claims that she loves some-body, much to disappoint him. Seeing that MUI is fond of KWUN, MADAM to sends LUNG CHAR SIN to test him.… ...

TO YEE MUI hints her love to KWUN VAT who then mistakes MUI to have odd inclination and purposely avoids her, much to her frustration. Seeing that VLIET NGOR gets in MUl's way, MADAM TO kidnaps her and confines her to her stockade. Ill-treated by the bandits and prone to YAT DIM HUNG’s approaches, NGOR suffers much. The village CHIEF CHAN, seeks help from the police guard, TAO YUR FEI, to find NGOR's whereabouts.… ...

The result is out and CHAN MUNG TAK find that KWUN YAT gets awarded because of his paper. CHAN explains the whole thing to the people but no one believes a word he say. On the other hand, knowing that it is not his performance that counts, KWUN feels regretful for CHAN.‧ TO YEE MUI visits YUET NGOR and reveals her identity to her . Seeing her dream turns to nothing, NGOR feels very disappointed. ‧ Seeing that KWUN has established himself, CHIEF CHAN proposes to TO the marriage between KWUN and MUI. Fearing to be discovered as the bandits' daughter, MUI asks MADAM TO to disguise as the rich when visiting the CHAN family. TAI WU CHI is left behind to guard NGOR. In a trick, CHAN reveals MADAM TO's identity to CHIEF CHAN~ At the same time, NGOR makes her escape and accuses MADAM TO of kidnapping her. CHIEF CHAN reports to the court and MADAM TO and the bandits are arrested.

CHAN MUNG TAK helps TO YEE MUI slip away and lets her hide at his house. MUI is moved by CHAN who looks after her in great concern. CHIEF CHAN stops KWUN YAT from looking for MUI and arranges his trip to the capital. KWUN falls into dilemma. In search of MUI, TAO YUR FEI comes to the Chan’s house but he id drawn away by CHAN. YUE LUNG discovers MUI and confines her. After CHAN’s and his mother’s plead for MUI and finding that she is a proper and decent woman, LUNG allows CHAN to handle the matter. TAI WU CHI sneaks into the prison to save MUI but the guards outnumber him. FEI comes to his rescue and helps him make his escape. Afterwards, FEI cuts his arm, claiming that MADAM TO has made her escape, while he secretly sends for CHI to pick up the bandits. Learning that KWUN is leaving, MUI tests his love for her. Not wanting to defy his parents. The stubborn KWUN decides to break up with MUI, much to hurt her feelings.… ...

On the way to the capital, CHAN MUNG TAK and TO YEE MUI come across a kid who is nearly knocked down by a cart. They save him but in doing so, they embarrass KAM LING FUNG who is travelling in the cart and the three have a dispute. CHAN and MUI locate CHEUNG BlU's house but .it has already be-en taken over by his man, HUNG TAI NGOK . BIU's loyal man, TIT SAM KUR shows CHAN and MUI the way to meet ~IU who is seriously injured. The fact is that NGOK had plotted against BIU and finally took his place. KUR has been looking after BIU , hoping one day to fight back. To earn a living, MUI goes seek a job and comes across BIU being captured by NGOK and forced to perform tricks to please the foreign trader, SMITH. MUI gives BIU a hand but is captured by NGOK instead. CHAN comes to her rescue and both slip away. CHAN promises to help BIU regain his influence. To teach NGOK a lesson, CHAN tricks him into falling into the falling into the farces .… ...
