About this season
After serious budget cuts threaten department funding veteran Sheriff Joseph J. Jenkins takes an opportunity to have his department featured on a national reality TV series. The TV crew follows the daily musings of department rejects Richard (Rick) Riverson and James (Jim) Johnson whom to date have never solved a crime, though are quite infamous in their local community.

The dynamic crime fighting team attempts to stop an evasively slow moving vehicle, where the driver is ejecting many objects from his vehicle, including, a baby.
3. Where in the World Is Jim Johnson?

Lt. Sheriff Jim Johnson has been fired, Sheriff Joe Jenkins orders that a new deputy is hired to fill Johnson's vacated post. Rick begins investigating the whereabouts of his lost friend.
4. A Big Accident

Rick soon finds out that he must move on from finding Jim as Joe has assigned a detective friend to keep tabs on him. Rick begins accepting Burt as his new partner, when he suddenly hits something with the cruiser.

Rick & Burt are dispatched to a breaking & entering, when Rick suddenly suffers a heart attack. He's then transported into the past for a meeting with a legendary police officer.
6. The Deal: Part 1

Joe assigns Rick to undercover duty in an attempt to stop a massive drug crime ring in the counties esteemed 'red light district'. Suddenly, Rick & Burt are taken captive by an evil drug lord and held for ransom.
7. The Deal: Part 2

Rick & Burt are taken captive by a drug dealer in the counties crime heavy 'red light district.' The dealer makes demands to their supervisor, Sheriff Joe Jenkins, who assures the dealer that he doesn't negotiate with terrorists. Detective Rodriguez befriends Riverson and attempts to tell him something that could ruin Burt. Brad Fewins reprises his role as Detective Ricky Rodriquez in the conclusion of the two part episode, 'The Deal'.
8. The Interrogation

Burt is contacted by mysterious evil drug lord Cletus Clarence who blackmails him into helping him plan his partners death. Later, Rick and Burt respond to a disturbing the peace call and find C.C. in the red light district. The crime team decides to take him in for questioning.
9. Distraction

Burt calls in sick, leaving Jill to fill in and go on patrol with Rick. Burt is once again contacted by Douglas Newton AKA C.C., who forces him to create a distraction at the county liquor store.
10. The Return: Part 1

Rick & Joe prepare to arrest Burt for robbing a liquor store when he suddenly sneaks off and takes refuge at Douglas Newton's house. There, he learns Douglas is building a bomb which he plans to use on Lt. Riverson. Former County Sheriff Lieutenant Jim Johnson returns as FBI Agent Jim Johnson in the chilling season finale of County Sheriff.
