Flipper and Lopaka follows the adventures of Lopaka, a boy granted the ability to speak with marine animals, on his tribe's island home and the undersea city of Quetzo.

5. Lopaka's Gift

It's Nola's birthday, and Lopaka wants to give her a special gift. Bolo also wants to win Nola's affection and buys an expensive necklace for her. Flipper decides to help Lopaka locate a precious pearl deep in the ocean. On the way home, the young boy encounters a poor fish that had his home destroyed by Dexter and his hoodlums. Lopaka must now decide which person will receive the pearl.

An Australian animated take on everyone's favorite dolphin, this episode sees friendly Flipper in the lost underworld of Quetzo battle against a no-good giant octopus. A curious Dexter discovers that King Kapuna's powers lie in his crown and whoever wears it can rule Milhouse village. The octopus makes plans to swap the cornet for a fake one and manages to do so. Dexter rule soon becomes short lived after Flipper finds a way to interrupt the octopus' reign.
