His first film was 1985's Pee Wee's Big Adventure. He later directed Beetlejuice, Batman, Batman Returns, Ed Wood, Mars Attacks!, Sleepy Hollow, and a remake of Planet of the Apes. His most recent film was Big Fish, which recieved the best reviews of Burton's career, and was #1 at the box office for two weeks.
