1. The Fruit Master Challenge

It’s time to bake more memories with The Taste Master SA! Join us as we meet the first six of our Top 12 passionate bakers who’ve been selected to show off their skills in the ultimate culinary test.
2. The Spice Master Challenge

In Episode 2 our final group of six made up of Duke Mbokazi, Jason Miller, Jason Tomlinson, Khensani Peters, Meghan Mavrodaris and Nqobile Ngcobo will go head to head in a challenge to test their skills and creativity.
3. The Instagram Challenge

This week on The Taste Master SA the pressure is on as the bottom performing contestants from The Fruit Cake Challenge and The Spice Cake Challenge need to prove to the judges that they have what it takes to stay in the competition! With only four spots available in the Top 10 and six contestants competing for them, there is no room for error!
4. The Chocolate Challenge
Aired 1 October 2021
Each team must bake the ultimate chocolate creation after a masterclass from guest judge Jackie Cameron. The winning team earns the Royal Baking Powder Chocolate Mastery pin, and the bottom three teams head into next week’s elimination challenge.
5. The Fire Challenge

The pressure is on in the second elimination round as last week’s bottom 6 contestants head outdoors where they will bake for their lives in the beautiful Stellenbosch Winelands.
6. The Pastry Challenge

It’s time to bake more memories with The Taste Master SA! The heat gets turned up in the kitchen as the Top 9 contestants are blindsided by a surprise pastry quiz.
7. The Carrot Challenge

It’s the third elimination challenge on The Taste Master SA: The Baking Edition and the pressure is on for Sohail, Khensani, Kyle, Lwazi, Meghan and Nqobile as they bake for their lives to stay in the competition.
8. The Biscuit Pairing Challenge

Our bakers pair up this week on #TheTasteMasterSA to serve up their ultimate flavor combos. But working as a team is not always as simple as it seems and some flavors just don’t mix well. Who will bake to victory and who will be heading to elimination?

It’s the 4th elimination round and emotions are running high even before the baking has begun! When the smallest mishap can lead to massive upsets – who will keep their cool?

The Taste Master SA Top 6 contestants are pushed to their baking limits as they battle to create the ultimate savory pie. Joining the judging panel is renowned fine-dining chef and master of wild ingredients, Chris Erasmus.

It’s the semi-final and The Taste Master SA Top 4 contestants take a trip to the Cape Winelands for their toughest challenge yet.

The Top 3 contestants, Thando Manyoni, Jay Miller and Kyle Haytread, must use all the skills they’ve learned throughout the competition to impress the judges one last time with a high-tea presentation at the esteemed Hazendal Wine Estate.
