Peter Ustinov and Peter Jones play themselves as two characters in a London car journey failing to find a location known as Copthorne Avenue. Ustinov and Jones also portrayed various characters they meet on the journey, from which much of the show's comedy was derived. The show was improvised on tape and then edited for broadcast by Frank Muir and Denis Norden, who also sometimes took part.
